Memories of Another World (Part 2)

 

The highest honour one could receive in that world was to be asked to join the royal knights, but Rio turned it down. Naturally, as more people became envious of him, his bullies have grown, but Rio incinerated them with grace and savagery. The professor and the princess's sisters always enjoyed seeing the bullies burnt by Rio following their attempt to mock him. Few years passed and Rio was 17. Students from that school participated in a school excursion where they had to work together to survive on their own in a forest. Fortunately, the most of the hazardous magic animals had been driven out of the forest, and there were others who could use healing magic nearby in case anyone needed it.Rio was grouped with the princess and his bullies. In their attempt of taking a short cut they came across a magic animal that not even a high class magic night could defeat.

" I thought all the dangerous beasts were driven out of the forest, What is this??!!" Shouted one of the bullies. As they can't possibly escape from that beast from retreating fighting it is the only option. One of the bullies was harmed, and out of fear he fled, upsetting others for a tiny cut. As a result, he accidentally knocked the princess over the edge. Rio was the only one who saw it, saving her, but in doing so, he fell off the cliff. Everyone noticed that the princess was missing after the fight questioning everyone what happened. Scared that he would be punished for as the princess was from the king's family the bully falsely accused that Rio was the one who pushed her off the cliff and then fled.

 As the princess was unconsious at that time she wasn't able to clear Rio's name. Rio muttered from behind a bush, "Oh my what has it come to it has turned really problematic." Wait a minute! Rio!!!!!! He didn't perish by falling off the cliff. It appears that he is still alive. However, how? He got a peculiar power that he wasn't entirely sure was his own, one that was somewhat distinct from magic. Knowing that being unscratched and still alive and well might raise suspicions about him, he decides to conceal and listen in on the talk. Knowing that as the bully is a noble they would only listen to him, Rio well knew that he would be killed if he appears now thus went hiding. When the princess woke up she was devastated to know tat her savior who saved her twice is being in the criminal list because of her. 

When she tried to clear his name it was too late as the news has already spread among the people of the Bertram kingdom and there was nothing that can be done now. The professor who eavesdrop this conversation was also truly devastated. Few days passed and while being devastated the professor heard a knock when she was in her study room. It was non other than Rio. Just by looking at her, you can tell just how happy she was. She sobbed uncontrollably, telling him repeatedly how much she missed him as she tightly gripped him. She questioned what was he going to do after regaining control of herself. Rio answered that he would go to his hometown because he regained a part of his memory where in his mother's hushed voice, she had advised him to do so if something had happened to her because he would find the answer there. What difficulties will he encounter on his travels now that he is on the criminal list?
